Do you have what it takes to open one of Indianapolis’ most exciting celebrations of Black LGBTQ+ culture?

The Indy BLK+ Pride Talent Show Kick-Off is your opportunity to showcase your talent, connect with the community, and compete for a chance to perform on the main stage at Indy BLK+ Pride Summer Fest 2026.

We’re looking for talented local performers of all kinds, including singers, dancers, rappers, spoken word artists, drag entertainers, musicians, comedians, and other unique acts. Whether you’re an experienced performer or ready to step into the spotlight for the first time, we want to see what you bring to the stage.

Competition Details

• Date: Friday, August 14, 2026

• Showtime: 7:00 PM

• Location: Downtown Olly’s Backyard
  822 N. Illinois St., Indianapolis, IN 46204

• Registration Fee: $25

• Performance Length: 3–5 minutes

Grand Prize

The winning performer will receive:

• An opening performance slot at Indy BLK+ Pride Summer Fest 2026

• A $200 cash prize

• Recognition as one of Indianapolis’ emerging BLK+ artists

The winner will be determined through a combination of judges’ scores, audience participation, and the Indiana Pride of Color team.

This event is part of INPOC’s For The Culture Series, a year-round initiative dedicated to celebrating, uplifting, and creating opportunities for Black LGBTQ+ artists, creatives, and community members.
